Traveling to Guatemala: A Bumpy Beginning

We are less than a month out from our journey to Guatemala. We managed to pack out of our apartment a few days early and began our road trip to Wyoming in hopes of surprising her family. Surprise being an understatement, we hydroplaned on the interstate and hit a guardrail. After which, our right tire was out of alignment and Edgar (Isabel’s step father) helped us out by driving down with a trailer bed. It was a long trip, that is for sure.

We have now been in Wyoming for almost a week, and it has been really nice to spend time with her family. We are safe, and the car looks like it won’t be too expensive to repair. Hopefully our trip to Guatemala will be less eventful than our trip to Wyoming was!
